OnHub, Google’s New Smart and Innovative Wi-Fi Router
If you are an internet geek, you would be happy to know that the routers are going to be very easy to set up as the Ikea furniture and are extremely reliable as the drug store umbrellas. Google is coming up with its new WI-FI router, to cure the dead with its On Hub technology.
Also, one of the main selling points of OnHub is that it looks extremely good. The OnHub has got a slim black body, like that of Echo, which is Amazon’s virtual gadget assistance. A lot of people don’t consider the aesthetics when it comes to buying a Wi-Fi router; however Google’s OnHub is designed to be extremely beautiful for a lot of reasons.
According to Trond Wuellner, Google’s product manager, most of us keep our routers out of sight and on the floor, even though these don’t work well like that. For this reason, we are looking to replace the unruly cords, along with the blinking lights with the subtle and internal antennas, including useful lighting, so that you get happy placing them out in the open putting it where it performs best.
In addition to looking good and giving a good signal, it has a lot of other features such as:
Setting it up and controlling it with a new app, known as, “Google On”, which works really well on the iPhone and Android phones.
You also don’t want to have a specific computer or a laptop for fixing and diagnosing the problems.
In addition to the various blinking lights, there is also one light which displays two colors: orange and green. Green means that everything works fine whereas orange means that there is something wrong.
The OnHub router goes to the best channel for the fast connection. There is internal software which steers it automatically for avoiding the interface, according to Wuellner.
Uses Bluetooth for Connecting To the Other Devices
The OnHub router connects to the other devices which use Bluetooth. Google On shows the bandwidth which your device is using, letting you set a specific device for getting the fast speed. This means that the OnHub ensures when your smartphone uses the big bandwidth downloading the app updates. Also, the Netflix video keeps it running smoothly on the Roku, Apple TV, and the Chromecast. In addition, the app also displays the password of the network with a tap to share it with other people.
He also said that Google would update OnHub with security upgrades and new features automatically. Again the company is hoping that it would become the main hub for all the wireless devices in the home.
The pre-orders started on Tuesday through Wal-Mart (WMT) Amazon and the Google Store. Also, the OnHub is going to be put on sale in the stores of Canada and The US in a few weeks.
