HONG KONG, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Payment Asia today announced the appointment of Hong Kong tennis player Eudice Chong as its brand ambassador and the launch of its "Business is Better in Doubles" campaign, reflecting shared values of partnership, innovation, resilience, and excellence. Payment Asia appoints accomplished Hong Kong tennis player Eudice Chong as brand ambassador. One of Hong Kong's most accomplished tennis players, Chong has achieved a series of historic milestones on the international stage. Most recently, Chong and her partner Coby Wong secured a bronze medal in women's doubles at the 2026 Asian Games, bringing pride to Hong Kong and further cementing their place among Asia's elite tennis players. In May 2026, she became the first Hong Kong player in history to win a WTA Tour doubles title, capturing the Morocco Open women's doubles championship alongside Belgium's Magali Kempen. For Payment Asia, Chong's doubles success embodies the qualities that define the company's relationship with merchants. While individual talent remains essential, doubles tennis depends on partnership, communication, anticipation, and mutual trust. Success comes from understanding what a partner needs, recognizing opportunities before they become obvious, and working together to overcome challenges. These same principles guide Payment Asia's approach to serving merchants. "The best partnerships are built on trust, shared goals, and the ability to see opportunities and challenges from different angles," said Kenneth Lai, Founder and Chairman of Payment Asia Group. "That philosophy is at the heart of our 'Business is Better in Doubles' campaign. Eudice's achievements in doubles tennis perfectly reflect these values. Success comes from understanding your partner, supporting one another, anticipating opportunities, and working together towards a common goal. This is also how we work with merchants every day." "Merchants today face an increasingly complex business environment. Our responsibility is to stand alongside them, helping them identify opportunities they may not otherwise see, navigate challenges, and access the tools and solutions they need to succeed." Payment Asia supports more than 100,000 merchants across Hong Kong and international markets and has maintained double-digit year-on-year growth in global transaction volume for the last decade, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Throughout my tennis career, I have learned that success is rarely achieved alone," said Chong. "Doubles tennis has taught me the importance of trust, communication and having the right partner beside you. I am excited to work with Payment Asia because the company shares my belief in the power of partnership and helping people achieve their goals. I look forward to supporting Payment Asia's mission of helping merchants grow and succeed."
