Over 2 crore teenagers aged 15 to 18 years have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in less than a week since the vaccination drive for children started, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Saturday.
According to preliminary statistics updated until 7 am, the country has received more than 90 lakh (90,59,360) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number in the country to more than 150.61 crores (150,61,92,903).

“Great Going, my Young Friends. Over 2 crore youngsters between the 15-18 age group have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in less than a week of vaccination drive for children,” Mr. Mandaviya tweeted.
According to health ministry officials, more than 91% of the adult population in the country has gotten at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and more than 66% has received both doses.
